Law Enforcement Training Offerings
PPCT Defensive Tactics Program

Based on human survival responses the program teaches students to safely
and effectively control subjects without causing excessive injury.
Students who successfully complete this program receive international

PPCT Spontaneous Knife Defense

The Spontaneous Knife Defense training program (SKD) was developed for
law enforcement, corrections, and security officers who must deal with
the constant threat of a sudden attack with edged weapons. Based on
gross motor skills and the most recent survival learning research, the
SKD program teaches simple physical skills to effectively defend against
a spontaneous and unexpected edged weapon assault.
In this program students learn to:

Understand the mental aspects of close quarter combat

Apply the theories of knife and edged weapon assaults
-
Utilize knife attack concepts and strategies
-
Effectively perform defensive & offensive knife
techniques
This program is intense and very physical. Technique repetition is
required to develop the instinctive skills necessary to survive and win
an edged weapon encounter.
Safe And Legal Traffic Stops (SALTS)
Basic Certification: 6 hours
MCOLES. Approved
Developed by the University of Florida’s Institute for Police Technology
and Management, the SALTS program is designed to help officers
understand and improve their interpersonal communications during traffic
stops. Using a professional model, students analyze the stressors and
problems associated with his high profile law enforcement function and
learn how to reduce conflict and unjustified citizen complaints.
This program blends a traditional communication model with the ‘customer
service’ concept popular in business today. This is all presented to the
students with critical attention to the issues of officer safety and
survival.
In this program students learn to:

Civilian Training Offerings
Many civilian, non-law enforcement careers, come with considerable risks
to personal safety. Nursing, social work, education, and many other
professions deal with people and situations that can boil over into
emotional and even physical confrontations. Safety Options offers
training programs to help these individuals and groups ways to deal
safely and effectively with aggression and physical assaults on their
job.

Social workers, educators, home health care workers, sales personnel,
and other community workers do some of society’s most dangerous work...
home service. OSHA recognizes that by entering into homes and residences
to deliver services puts these workers at unique and increased risk to
their personal safety. These risks often result in stress, injuries and
even death for the home visitor.
Visitors NOT Victims teaches
these professionals assessment skills and ways to avoid or reduce the
risks of their jobs.
In this program students learn to:

SEXUAL HARASSMENT ASSAULT AND RAPE PREVENTION (SHARP)
Basic Training Program: 4-12 hours
Instructor Certification: 24 hours
Statistics indicate that 1 out of every 5 women will become a victim of
sexual assault before the age of 21. Our society socializes women to see
themselves as victims of aggression unable to protect themselves. The
SHARP program deals with this problem by addressing several components
of female personal safety:
This training program deals with exploring new attitudes and beliefs,
but it also includes class exercises including dynamic, physical,
defensive techniques. This combination of mental and physical can help
students regain autonomy and take control of their personal safety.
The SHARP program is flexible and may be customized to fit the needs of
nearly any group.
PPCT VIOLENT PATIENT MANAGEMENT (VPM)
Basic Certification: 8 Hours
Instructor Certification: 24 Hours
Developed by PPCT Management Systems on their Tactical/Legal/Medical
research foundation the VPM program offers answers to health care
professionals faced with aggressive or violent patients. While some
programs offer ineffective physical skills and techniques, the VPM
program teaches students to effectively control violent and assaultive
patients; the ones that hurt you.
The goal is to reduce the injuries to health care professionals while
minimizing the risk to aggressive patients.
